Nutrition
I qualified as a Practioner with the College of Natural Nutrition. During the 18 months I studied with the college, I cured myself of dermatitis: a condition that I had been treating with steroid creams for 22 years. When I abandoned my steroid creams, the dermatitis, which I had only ever experienced on my hands, spread to my limbs and abdomen – I was pretty much covered in a variety of rashes, spots, pimples and cracked, oozing skin. It took some months to clear up completely and I tried many different approaches – but it left me with an appetite for helping people find solutions.
Since then I have chosen to focus my interest in nutrition, in particular, on ways to use diet to manage IBS, and in exploring ways to detoxify the body – especially the liver – through natural means. Using diet along side colonics can be a powerful way to restore the body back to healthy functioning.
As I have researched different areas I have found myself preparing handouts that summarise my finding on a whole range of topics:
approaches for managing
- IBS
- constipation
- flatulence
- candida
and “super foods” including: flax / linseeds and bee pollen.
These handouts are available in my treatment room for people to help themselves.
